If your dock is currently using shoreline power, there could be some hazards lurking in and around your dock that you aren't even aware of. Some docks were grandfathered in when the new requirements were put into place that docks' electrical must have a ground and not be secured under the dock. If your dock electrical is older, it may not be up to current code, and wear and tear could mean electrical shorts and even dangerous electrical activity in the water surrounding you dock. 

Solar power doesn't require all those messy cords running from your dock to the shoreline. Instead, it uses the natural energy from the sun, which is much safer for you and your family!
